There are 2 ways to cook sea cucumber. Both delicious.
If you buy pre-soaked frozen sea cucumber, wash them with water thoroughly. Soak them in iced water, until they are softened. Remember: the container cannot be in touch with oil, otherwise the sea cucumber will be rotten. The sea cucumber can only be in touch with oil when you cook them.
Sea cucumber millet porridge:1.Soak sea cucumber in water for 6 hours. Take them out. Cut into slices. 2.Wash millet. Add water but don’t add too much. Boil them until it is thickened. 3.Shredded ginger. 4.Rinse sea cucumber with hot water. 5. Add sea cucumber and shredded ginger into the millet porridge. 6. Boil for 10 minute, then remove from heat. Add salt before consumption.
Huangjing and wolfberry with sea cucumber:
Ingredient:30g of Huangjing, 30g of wolfberry, 200g of soaked sea cucumber, 30g of spring onion, appropriate amount of seasoning.
Cooking method:Soak sea cucumber in water for 6 hours. Take them out, and cut into slices. Soak wolfberry in warm water for 30 minutes. Take them out and put them into a bowl with Huangjing. Put a pot on the stove, add camellia oil, add spring onion, use high fire to stir fry. When the spring onion is almost burnt, add sea onion, stir fry them, add a little bit of rice wine. Add 250ml of water. Add Huangjing, wolfberry and ginger slices. Cover the pot. Turn down the fire to boil for 40 minutes. When the sea cucumber is softened, add salt and vinegar. If you do not add Huangjing, add more spring onion. If you add garlic, the smell will be stronger.
There is also a pumpkin soup: boil pumpkin until it is tender. Put them into mixer to mix them into paste. It is delicious.
